The Ackerman Family, from Bridgman, has owned the Get A Way for 23 years. Carl and Sanae Ackerman originally purchased the business and today their son Tom runs the operation. Tom used to scout for the Chicago Cubs and is a diehard fan. You will definitely understand when you pull up to the front of the building.

The Get A Way has won numerous local favorite awards in the past including Best Neighborhood Bar and Best Sports Bar. Well known for their friendly wait staff, good food and even better prices and specials, the Get A Way is a favorite of both locals and travelers.

You must try one of their famous Burgers named after local heros and cubbie heros alike. You can watch any of your favorite teams on several tv's, big screens and projection tv's. Take some time to check out and enjoy the multitude of sports memorabilia, especially of the Cubs.
